Cookies Policy
Last Updated: May 21, 2026
1. About This Policy
This Cookies Policy explains how Inso AI ("Inso", "we", "us", or "our") uses cookies and similar tracking technologies when you visit our website, access our enterprise CMMS dashboard, or interact with our online services (collectively, the "Service").
We are committed to transparency in our data handling. This policy provides detailed information on what cookies are, why we use them, and how you can exercise control over your tracking preferences.
2. What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files placed on your computer, tablet, or smartphone by websites that you visit. They are widely used to make websites function more efficiently, provide custom user preferences, preserve active login sessions, and compile statistical dashboard performance reports.
Cookies may be "persistent" (remaining on your device until they expire or are deleted) or "session" cookies (deleted automatically when you close your web browser).
3. How We Use Cookies
We use cookies to enhance your administrative experience on our CMMS dashboard, ensure network security, analyze website performance, and maintain platform routing integrity. Specifically, cookies help us:
- Authenticate operators and remember active login sessions.
- Route user traffic across Microsoft Azure's multi-region cloud servers.
- Measure API response times, latency, and dashboard loading speeds.
- Save user UI preferences (e.g. dark mode setting, language preferences).
4. Types of Cookies We Use
- Essential / Strictly Necessary Cookies: These cookies are crucial for the basic operation of the Service, enabling core functions like secure login, Single Sign-On (SSO) persistence, and cloud load-balancing routing. Without these, the Service cannot function.
- Performance & Analytics Cookies: These cookies collect aggregated, anonymous data about how users interact with our web dashboards (e.g., page views, button clicks, API request times, and Power BI report load speeds) to help us refine platform speed and usability.
- Functional Cookies: These allow our dashboard to remember choices you make (such as UI themes, custom dashboard widgets, and regional preferences) to provide a more tailored interface.
5. Telemetry vs. Web Cookies
Important Distinction: Please note that the physical edge gateway devices and high-frequency IoT sensors deployed on building equipment and HVAC systems do not use web cookies. Telemetry data (vibrations, temperatures, BMS signals, and electrical telemetry) is transmitted directly via encrypted MQTT and HTTPS transit pipelines and is not governed by web browser cookie configurations.
6. Controlling Your Preferences
You have the absolute right to decide whether to accept or decline web cookies. You can manage your cookie preferences through several mechanisms:
- Browser Controls: You can configure your web browser to accept, block, or delete cookies. Note that disabling essential cookies may impact the accessibility of Inso's administrative CMMS dashboard.
- Do Not Track: Our platform supports standard "Do Not Track" (DNT) and Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals sent by modern web browsers.
7. Policy Revisions & Contact
We may update this Cookies Policy periodically to reflect changes in our technology infrastructure, operational practices, or statutory compliance mandates. The "Last Updated" date at the top of the page will reflect the most recent revision.
If you have any questions about our use of cookies or this policy, please reach out to our security team at privacy@inso.ai.
